About Catholic Funeral & Cemetery Services
Catholic Funeral & Cemetery Services (CFCS) is a Church-owned, 501c3 nationwide nonprofit organization that provides cemetery and funeral services to families in over 20 dioceses across the country, while staying faithful to Church teaching and providing education on the Order of Christian Funerals. Dioceses whose funeral and cemetery ministries are struggling, financially or evangelically, reach out to CFCS to reinvigorate their operations. Beginning in the Diocese of Oakland in 2011, CFCS' services are now provided through more than 50 cemeteries and 10 funeral centers, collectively serving over 18,000 families each year.

Spotlight on The Archdiocese of Detroit
Each year, the AOD Cemeteries recognize St John Vianney Day. St John Vianney is the patron saint of parish priests, and in recognition of his feast day, volunteers join together at the cemeteries to clean markers and monuments in the priest and religious sections, lay flowers, and offer prayers to the religious who lay to rest.
CFCS Mission Elevation
CFCS team members get a chance to attend our premier event of the year, Mission Elevation. Held at a different location every year, this conference brings together various staff members in various roles from all of our partner-dioceses across the country.
During this week-long event, you’ll have the chance to meet and network with other CFCS team members, attend different training sessions, dance the night away at our Gala Dinner, and have some free time to explore the sights and sounds of whatever city we’re in. Mission Elevation is a one-of-a-kind event that is a favorite each year.
CFCS University and Job Training
CFCS develops and manages online course work through CFCS University. Job specific training courses are available to employees to help develop in their role and be best equipped to serve families. This resource supplements extensive training provided in job shadowing, one on one coaching, and classroom coursework.
CFCS Mission Programs
CFCS is committed to helping people from all walks of life, and provides assistance to families in need through multiple programs.

Mother Teresa: This program provides sacred and dignified funeral and cemetery services to those who would otherwise be unable to pay for them

All Souls Remembrance: Offering a dignified committal of the cremated remains of anyone, of any faith, at any of our cemeteries, at no charge

Family Heritage: This unique program allows for graves, crypts or niches already owned by families to be transformed into a family estate allowing families to be together on their final journey
