Mover to Operations Manager: Matt’s success story
Matt joined TWO MEN AND A TRUCK over three years ago with our Asheville, North Carolina franchise. When he started as a mover, Matt didn’t expect to turn his job into a career. He quickly learned, however, of the immense opportunity we have to offer and is now an operations manager! If you like helping customers and feeling the satisfaction of a day’s work well done, check out Matt’s story!
Core values lead our teams
The pride, teamwork, and sense of community here at TWO MEN AND A TRUCK are unparalleled, and they all stem from our core values.

A favorite core value among many team members is The Grandma Rule®, which is to treat others as you'd like your grandmother to be treated. The roots of this core value go all the way back to Grandma Eb, the grandmother of our two original stick men. We continue to live out this core value each day all across our system.

Giving back to the community is another favorite core value. Our own cause marketing initiatives such as Movers for Moms®, Truckload of Warmth®, and Movers for Military® are just a part of how we give back. We also get involved with local organizations to support our wonderful communities that have helped us grow.
Giving back to the community, one move at a time
TWO MEN AND A TRUCK franchises across the country support Convoy of Hope to make an impact during natural disaster relief efforts. Whether we're transporting cases of water to hurricane survivors, raising funds to rebuild after a wildfire, or volunteering our time to help those in need, we're committed to supporting our communities.
How we started
Our company really did start as two men and a truck! In high school, brothers Brig Sorber and Jon Sorber began hauling junk to make a little extra cash during the summer. Later, their mother, Mary Ellen Sheets, founded the company we know today. TWO MEN AND A TRUCK now more than 350 locations in the United States, Canada, Ireland, and the United Kingdom, and we're still growing!
