Medical, Dental and Vision Coverage: Associates may obtain comprehensive medical coverage through a network of physicians, facilities and other providers. A number of benefit choices are available, and employee costs vary accordingly.

Health Savings Account: Associates have the opportunity to direct a portion of their pay into a special tax-free account that may be used for reimbursement on eligible out-of-pocket expenses, such as uncovered medical expenses and dependent care.

Short-term and Long-term Disability Insurance: Salaried associates have short-term disability insurance at no cost to them.

Vacation and Holidays: Associates are eligible for paid vacation days based on years of service and depending on the type of position. In addition, OmniTRAX managed company associates receive the holidays provided for by law in the United States and Canada.

401(k) Plan with Company Match: The plan allows eligible associates to save an amount of their pay on a pre-tax basis.

Safety Saves
Promoting a “Total Safety Culture” is a high priority for OmniTRAX and its managed companies. This means safety comes first – for associates, customers and the public. The safety programs have been developed and refined through decades of operational experience.

OmniTRAX managed railroads are nationally recognized for our safety record by the American Short Line and Regional Railroad Association’s (“ASLRRA”); consistently winning Jake Certificates with Distinction – awarded to any member railroad with no FRA reportable injuries during the previous year. In 2010, for the first time in history of the ASLRRA, the Panhandle Northern Railroad, an OmniTRAX managed line, won both the “President’s Award for Most Improved Safety” and “Safety Person of the Year” award.
