About Heath Consultants Incorporated
At Heath Consultants you’ll discover that your position contributes to the larger overall purpose of protecting life, property and the environment. We value the contributions of every team member and encourage you to develop professionally and explore career paths based on your interests and abilities. Our work environment fosters teamwork and collaboration while encouraging innovative ideas and fresh thinking.
HistoryHeath Consultants Incorporated is a third generation family-owned business that was founded in 1933 by Milton Heath Sr., who started out providing line clearing services to New England utilities. In later years Heath ended up researching and discovering what was causing the death of trees in Massachusetts through what later became the first known gas leak vegetation surveys. As the surveys proved highly effective at detecting leaks, Heath’s business grew and evolving customer needs led the company to expand and provide methane detection systems for gas suppliers.
Since then, Heath has expanded its products and services with the goal of becoming the world leader in utility protection and damage prevention. From portable gas detectors and confined space monitors to pipe and cable locators, Heath strives to provide the utility industry with the most innovative and cutting-edge products and instruments.
Heath’s Services Business Unit serves the upstream, midstream, and downstream oil and gas markets. Our extensive experience with gas leak investigation and inspections, underground utility damage prevention, meter reading/services and our rigorous training programs make Heath the most trusted name in utility services.
Our engineering and marketing experts on our research and development team keep up with ever-changing market demands to provide state-of-the-art services and products to each of our customers.

Safety is our number one priority.
Communicate openly and honestly
Approach all that we do with a sense of urgency
Always do the right thing
Treat others as you wish to be treated
Strive for excellence in everything we do
Provide for an environment that nurtures growth and enjoyment
They are all important, but we cannot work by these core values unless we integrate safety into our culture and maintain a strong commitment to safety.
Whether at work or at home, we must integrate safety in everything we do. Safety is not a switch that can be turned on and off like a light. We must keep safety as a value that is always present and a way of life. We must strive for excellence in everything we do and believe we can achieve excellence by working safely as a team.
We trust everyone working at Heath Consultants will always do the right thing by being a leader in safety. Doing the right thing means stopping work to correct unsafe behaviors and eliminating unsafe conditions. Not just for you, but those around you. Wouldn’t you want your coworker to stop work if it would result in an injury to you? Treat others as you wish to be treated and look out for your fellow coworker.
Our safety culture is that “All injuries can and should be prevented.” To maintain this culture, we must demonstrate open and honest communication by reporting all incidents and believing they can be prevented in order to achieve our goal of continuous improvement.
Everyday, we must approach safety with a sense of urgency, for our safety, the safety of our co-workers and the general public. We must also be accountable for knowing and implementing the standards set forth in our safety handbook. If we continue to live by our seven core values, we will prosper as a company, a team, and as individuals.
Furthermore, maintaining a strong safety culture reinforces our value to provide an environment that nurtures growth and enjoyment. We appreciate your daily commitment to safety and look forward to another prosperous and safe year.
