Our heritage is built on the pioneers who started the Alaska salmon business beginning in the late 1800s. Many of our operations sit on the sites of these original plants – an acknowledgment to the continued abundance of the wild Alaska seafood resource. We also draw from the vast experience and knowledge of our two founding companies, Ocean Beauty Seafoods and Icicle Seafoods, which both prospered throughout the 20th century. Their legacy is now at the heart of OBI Seafoods and our future.

OBI Seafoods is a leading producer of fresh, frozen and canned wild Alaska seafood, operating 10 processing plants in all major seafood producing areas of the state. The company was formed in 2020 through a merger with Ocean Beauty Seafoods and Icicle Seafoods, two of the oldest and most successful seafood companies in Alaska. OBI brings together the experience and heritage of both companies, along with the legacy Ocean Beauty and Icicle brands, continuing its predecessors’ commitment to responsible seafood resource management and community sustainability. OBI Seafoods is owned by Cooke Seafoods and Ocean Beauty Seafoods.
