Ensign Services, Inc. is the most progressive company in the exploding healthcare services field today, serving over 200 long-term care facilities, 17 urgent care centers, and over 35 home health and hospice agencies, with over 20,000 employees in fourteen states. These operations have no corporate headquarters or traditional management hierarchy. Instead, they operate independently with support from the shared "Service Centers", a world-class service team that provides the centralized clinical, legal, risk management, recruiting, HR, training, accounting, IT and other resources necessary to allow on-site leaders and caregivers to focus squarely on day-to-day care and business issues in their individual operations.
Who We Are
Each Ensign Group-affiliated operation carries its own name and establishes its own culture. Each facility is a part of a cluster and market in a geographic area. Facilities autonomously make operational decisions while consulting with cluster partners who are familiar with its specific market characteristics. Each cluster has access to specialized resources to help it in legal, clinical, financial, human resources and other matters. Each facility also has the opportunity to contract with the Service Center or Ensign Services to help provide some of the resources that a facility likely cannot afford on its own. This structure allows for the local leaders in a facility to make all decisions for the facility while having access to experts around them who are anxious to help them achieve optimal results.

Ensign Services—commonly known as the Service Center—provides back-office support. The relationship between each facility and the Service Center is a contractual one. This structure fosters an entrepreneurial culture of ownership while providing the resources of a larger company allowing operators to focus on the specific needs of the communities served.
