WHO ARE WE?
E.C. Phillips is a seafood processing company based in Ketchikan, AK. Our company has operations in Southeast Alaska - primarily in Ketchikan, AK, as well as Craig, AK. Our company is open year-round, making us one of the few seafood processors in the country to offer year-round employment. We specialize in frozen, fresh and live seafood products for both American families and international customers.
For almost 100 years, EC Phillips has been a trusted distributor of wild seafood products from Southeast Alaska. Our company is has been certified by many accredited 3rd party agencies, such as the Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) and the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
We specialize in processing Alaskan and Pacific Northwest species of seafood including salmon, halibut, black cod, and many other species. All of our products are wild-caught, and MSC-certified. We strive to maintain a reputation of consistency in providing premium seafood products while operating honestly with exceptional customer service, and treating our employees like family.
All of our products are rigorously graded and tracked through the whole process, from buying and freezing to packing and shipping, guaranteeing customers the finest product. Our staff pride themselves on the quality product they are producing, thus delivering superb seafood to our markets - that is why we need you onboard our team!
COMPANY CULTURE?
We are a lean and flat company with direct channels to management. As a result, there is limited bureaucracy at the company. If you have any feedback to provide, we want to hear about it as soon as possible. That is the advantage to being an Alaska-based company - our management is just a few feet away, not in Seattle! You just need to walk up a flight of stairs. We are the ideal company for someone that wants significant ownership, growth in the industry, and has a love of seafood!
Because we are a smaller company, we have more informal operations and company culture. However, because of the nature of the business in fishing and cold storage, we are looking for people that can be flexible and juggle a few projects at once.
WE NEED YOU:
If you are interested in a production role, to put it bluntly - production roles can be tough. The role requires lifting, standing in cool / cold temperatures and working with seafood products (smells, blood, etc.). Please be aware of these physical conditions before applying.
