About Keystone Science School
Since 1976, Keystone Science School has welcomed students, campers, and educators to our
historic campus in the heart of the Colorado Rocky Mountains, which serves as the home base for
our diverse suite of outdoor education programs. Instructors in our 4 program areas-- Education,
Camp, Adventure, and School-Based--inspire curiosity and critical thinking, through the lens of
science, to change lives and strengthen communities. Our facilities include modern log-style dormitories, a central dining hall, an outdoor amphitheater, an observatory, and a geothermal field.
Our tagline--Science. Adventure. Fun!--summarizes what we seek in our employees: passionate about our work, willing to seek adventure and take risks to improve KSS, and able to laugh along the way.

Keystone Science School inspires curiosity and critical thinking through the lens of science to change lives and strengthen communities. We create future leaders who can problem solve and work together in an ever-evolving world and workplace environment.
Our Vision
By 2020, Keystone Science School will reach beyond its 23-acre campus to bring high-quality science and sustainability programming and experiences to diverse communities across the country. With upgraded energy efficient facilities for faculty and participants, KSS envisions enhanced program offerings, increased community partnerships, and broader funding opportunities. KSS’s leadership in the industry will be recognized and our staff sought after to provide guidance in the areas of science and outdoor education, partnership development, and financial sustainability.

We change lives. It’s a lofty claim, but we know that people are impacted through their experiences at Keystone Science School. Our lives have been transformed and we inspire others to reflect, grow and change as well.
