The company has over 100 years of hog production experience, and is one of the largest family-owned hog producer networks in North America, with 180,000 sows and market hog production sites in 7 states. The company has approximately 1,100 employees who, along with nearly 500 independent farm partners, focus on creating environmentally and economically sustainable hog production systems. BTW TeamThe Maschhoffs have 180,000 sows in 5 states. Our farm staff is a vast team of people who have a passion for raising these great animals.
EnvironmentalAt The Maschhoffs, we don’t think of hog manure as “waste.” In fact, it’s just the opposite. The manure produced on our farms and our Production Partners’ farms is a source of rich nutrients, which are used to fertilize row crops, like corn. Corn fertilized by that manure is then harvested and fed back to our herd. It’s a great example of a sustainable nutrient cycle in action.
WTM TeamThe Maschhoffs team with more than 450 production partners to provide pork to more than 15 million consumer households.
Animal CareWe are committed to meeting our animal care standards on all of our farms. Our daily animal care practices are based on sound science and are designed to promote the health and well-being of our animals and the people who care for them.
Feed OperationsThe TML feed mill network will manufacture the equivalent to 1,320 truckloads of feed per week to feed our pigs. Together our entire feed operations team works together to ensure we are feeding our pigs in an efficient, cost-effective and sustainable manner.
MAP&AThe Managerial Accounting, Planning and Analysis team (MAP&A) supports budgeting, forecasting and capital investment decisions. They aid in financial and operational analysis and reporting across all 5 regions as well as for our mills, transport and environmental teams. MAP&A loves helping the teams they support hit their goals!!
