About Texas Roadhouse
The Texas Roadhouse story began in February 1993, when Kent Taylor opened the first location in Clarksville, Indiana, with the goal of owning a family-friendly steak restaurant, where people of all ages could come and have a great meal for a great price.
Kent’s goal was to serve food he was proud of. At Texas Roadhouse, you can find Hand-Cut Steaks, Fall-Off-The-Bone Ribs, Fresh-Baked Bread, and our Made-From-Scratch items, such as our croutons, bacon bits, and salad dressings. Pair our Legendary Food with an Ice Cold Beer or one of our Legendary Margaritas, and you will get the full Texas Roadhouse experience.
Our food is not the only Legendary thing at Texas Roadhouse – Our fun is, too! From our line dancers to our jukebox, and our friendly servers, the fun is non-stop.

Jerry Morgan is CEO and president for Texas Roadhouse, Inc., which operates 700 restaurants in 49 states and 11 foreign countries. In addition to Texas Roadhouse restaurants, the company also owns and operates Bubba’s 33 and Jaggers.
A 24-year veteran of Texas Roadhouse, Jerry has 35 years of total foodservice experience.
His career with Texas Roadhouse began in 1997 as Managing Partner in Grand Prairie, Texas, which was the first location in Texas. As a result of the team’s success, Jerry was named Managing Partner of the Year in 2001, which is the company’s highest recognition.
He was promoted to CEO in March 2021 and named to the Texas Roadhouse Board of Directors in June 2021. He also serves on the board of Homes for Our Troops, which is a non-profit organization that builds and donates specially adapted custom homes to severely injured post-9/11 Veterans.

We have made honeybees a focus of our conservation efforts because bee populations are struggling and are so important to agriculture.
