About PRECISION STRIP
PRECISION STRIP was founded in 1977 in the heart of a one square mile farm town called Minster, Ohio. Since its humble beginning in the niche market of aluminum slitting PRECISION STRIP has grown to 13 locations throughout Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana, Alabama, Tennessee, and Michigan.

As the nation’s largest toll processor, PRECISION STRIP strives to do the exceptional every day. Our foundation was built by the associates’ dedication to providing the best customer service and being a team of collaborative problem solvers. With our in-house engineering and technical group, we believe no problem is too big. We attribute our success to the loyal associates that work here. We bleed green!

Processing:

Within our 3.6 million square feet of building space we house: 33 slitting lines, nine cut-to-length lines, five oscillate slit lines, one mechanical blanking line, one laser blanking line, one edge conditioning line, and one perforating line. We also provide leveling, stenciling and full inspection of material for surface quality, including critical inspection of Class A automotive. The metal types we process include carbon, stainless steel, aluminum, and copper.

Material Storage, Packaging & Transport:

Each plant location is strategically located to provide JIT warehousing and delivery service to the automotive, appliance, industrial products and beverage can industry. Our unique packaging and material handling techniques improve coil handling efficiency and reduce coil damage. All of our facilities are equipped to ship and receive material by truck, and most are equipped to ship and receive by rail.
Our History
PRECISION STRIP, Inc. was founded in 1977 by Jack Eiting, Marie Eiting, Tom Wente, and Don Craft, along with Joan Eilerman. Our original operations included a used slitting line located in a 15,500 sq. ft. building in Minster, Ohio. Our founders' original intent was to remain a small company that serviced its customers well, and some of our first associates often comment that there were never going to be more than nine associates. However, the exceptional customer service and commitment to providing a quality product by our early associates led to an ever increasing demand for our services, and the company quickly began a growth pattern that has never stopped.

Over the years we have earned a reputation for being the world’s premier toll processor. We provide the most diverse array of services in the industry, continually advance technologically, and make a commitment to partnering with our customer for our mutual success. The long tenure of our associates, as well as the lengthy customer relationships we have established, speak to the company’s values and our commitment to people.

Today we have grown to approximately 1,300 associates at 13 locations. Our facilities include more than 3.6 million square feet of building space, 33 slitting lines, nine cut-to-length lines, five oscillate slitting lines, one mechanical blanking line, one edge conditioning line, and one perforating line. We also operate a fleet of more than 200 tractor-trailers units. Over the years we have broken ground more than 50 times for new buildings or expansions to our current facilities.
Commitment to Safety
Eliminating Hazards
We are relentless in both eliminating hazards in the workplace, as well as ensuring that there are established procedures for every part of our process. We continually reinvest in equipment, processes and techniques that have the best in safety, quality and productivity in mind. Our safety program is more than just attending meetings and conducting audits, it’s a culture where associates want to perform in a safe manner and value a safe workplace.

Our Safety Policy
PRECISION STRIP believes that all accidents are preventable. We are committed to continuous improvement in safety by eliminating the causes of workplace accidents. Working safely is a condition of employment and no job is so important or unimportant that it cannot be done safely. Each associate is responsible for safety. We expect all associates to place safety above expediency or short cuts, while working toward our goal of zero accidents.

The Sharpest Knife Safety Award
PRECISION STRIP recognizes associates’ outstanding safety performance with “The Sharpest Knife Safety Award.” It is presented annually to the operations with an Incident Rate below 1.50. In addition, each associate at the winning operations receives a Case pocket knife.
Commitment to Quality
Exceptional quality is a cornerstone of PRECISION STRIP’s success. Our associates are committed to providing our customers with a level of quality and service that is unsurpassed in the industry. It is our goal to continually improve quality to ensure that our customers are successful in their business.

Quality Policy
Since we at PRECISION STRIP limit ourselves to processing our customer’s metal, we have only two basic “products to sell” - - Quality and Service. Therefore, the Associates of PRECISION STRIP are dedicated to continuously improve the quality and service we provide and to consistently meet or exceed the requirements and expectations of our customers and end-users.
Company Culture
We attribute a large portion of our success to our people.
They’re devoted, skilled, and they’re not afraid to work hard. Our associates are problem solvers and hands on contributors. They are not afraid to jump in on a project to help drive us forward. And at PRECISION STRIP, we recognize the importance of encouraging and rewarding innovative ideas and top-notch results.

At PRECISION STRIP, Safety is not just a priority, it's a core value! We are committed to a safe work place, with a culture of personal responsibility to practice safe habits at work and at home. Our families are counting on us to be safe.

We are all on the same team.
Every associate, from the president to the newest hire, wears a uniform - or “greens” - as we like to call them. Our uniforms are reflective of our very practical roots and they also reinforce one of our founding principles “We are all equal associates dedicated to a common cause.”

We believe in quality, service, and innovation.
We believe in putting quality, service and innovation into every coil of metal we process. We feel a personal commitment to the quality of the product we deliver because our families and friends drive the cars, use the appliances, and purchase the end products that we help produce. We contribute to the quality and safety of the final product! We are the best in the industry and take great pride in that.
