Core Values
Our Core Value "We're Here to Serve"
"Every single person at Chick-fil-A's Corporate Support Center is in a service role." Servant leadership is at the heart of who we are, as we aim to be an organization defined by service. We are all here working together, supporting each other, and getting further because of it.
Our Core Value "We Pursue What's Next"
We're future-forward, constantly working to innovate with courage and curiosity.
That's why we've been developing new approaches to restaurant design and enhanced hospitality, as well as building groundbreaking machine technology such as machine learning and artificial intelligence to tackle our most challenging business problems. We have an entire process around facilitating innovation, and a dedicated 30,000 square foot space called Hatch for cultivating creative thinking.
Our Core Value "We Are Purpose Driven"
At our Corporate Support Center, we believe that we are anchored in values that are bigger than any one individual. We are called to have a positive influence on everyone who comes into contact with Chick-fil-A.

It’s no wonder Chick-fil-A Team Members are always smiling!
Working at a Chick-fil-A restaurant may include a few things one would expect – preparing food, taking orders and serving guests. However, Chick-fil-A Team Members tell us that it’s the unexpected experiences that makes the real difference.
In their own words, here are four perks of working at a Chick-fil-A restaurant:
1. The opportunity to earn scholarships
“I applied to Chick-fil-A because it’s not just a business here – it’s about serving people and making people happy,” says Saskya Simon, who was awarded a $25,000 True Inspiration Scholarship from Chick-fil-A, Inc. “This scholarship is allowing me to live out my dream of attending medical school, and I’m so appreciative of that.”
Simon, who works at the Pompano Beach Chick-fil-A, was one of 5,700 Team Members to earn a scholarship in 2018. In fact, the company awarded $14.65 million in scholarships that same year nationwide. How do Team Members earn one? It’s not just good grades – it’s their community service and hard work that pay off, too!
2. Great people, great friendships
Hard work is fun when the right team is by your side. Restaurant Team Members enjoy making incredible memories and lasting relationships with their coworkers. Jordan Manganello, a Team Member at Chick-fil-A Lebanon, put it best when she said, “I’ve established personal connections with my fellow Team Members that never would have been possible, if not for working at this Chick-fil-A.”
3. Scheduling flexibility
The friendly, warm atmosphere that guests experience at Chick-fil-A extends behind the scenes, too. Chick-fil-A franchisees (“Operators”) know that people are busy, schedules can be complicated, and life happens - that’s why they strive to offer flexibility when it comes to scheduling Team Members’ shifts.
Heather Rosenberg is a mom, a nursery-school owner and a dining room hostess at Chick-fil-A Hicksville. “The flexible scheduling allows me to teach during the day and bring smiles to our guests in the evening,” says Rosenberg.
4. Far from the average restaurant job
Team Members at Chick-fil-A restaurants often have the opportunity to advance their skills in important areas like customer relations and team management. And many restaurants offer positions like social media and marketing director, which make for impressive resume-boosters.

Our aim is to serve guests and communities well, and we know that starts with people. Creating a positive and productive place to work is important to both Chick-fil-A, Inc. and Chick-fil-A Franchisees.
The Next GenerationAs a family-owned business, the Cathy family has been working together for 70 years. Just as Truett Cathy built Chick-fil-A alongside his wife and children, today several second and third generation Cathy family members are carrying on that tradition, while others pursue talents in other fields. Working in a variety of different capacities, from staff headquartered at the Chick-fil-A Support Center to serving local communities as restaurant Operators, they're coast-to-coast helping people "Eat Mor Chikin®."
Giving PhilosophyEveryone's job at Chick-fil-A is to serve. No matter our title or job description, our reason for coming to work is to generously share our time and talents. Whether it's treating customers like friends, or serving our communities like neighbors, we believe kindness is a higher calling.
Helping fight hunger
For millions of people, a nourishing meal is a critical need. That’s why we created the Chick-fil-A Shared Table program, an initiative to help restaurant Operators fight hunger in their local communities and reduce food waste at the same time. Today, more than 1,100 Chick-fil-A restaurants donate surplus food to local soup kitchens, shelters and nonprofits through Chick-fil-A Shared Table, and that number continues to grow each year.
Chick-fil-A True Inspiration Awards™
The True Inspiration Awards™ program was created in 2015 to honor the legacy of Chick-fil-A founder S. Truett Cathy. Through these annual grants, we are proud to celebrate and support nonprofit organizations who are making a positive difference in their communities through their work in the areas of education, hunger and homelessness. In addition to serving in these three areas, this year’s winning organizations are either Black-led or are impacting communities of color.
