About Canadian Tire Corporation Ltd
Canadian Tire Corporation, Limited, (TSX:CTC.A) (TSX:CTC) or “CTC,” is a family of businesses that includes a retail segment, a financial services division and CT REIT.
Our retail business is led by Canadian Tire, which was founded in 1922 and provides Canadians with products for life in Canada across its Living, Playing, Fixing, Automotive and Seasonal categories. PartSource and Gas+ are key parts of the Canadian Tire network. The retail segment also includes Mark's, a leading source for casual and industrial wear, and FGL Sports (Sport Chek, Hockey Experts, Sports Experts, National Sports, Intersport, Pro Hockey Life and Atmosphere), which offers the best active wear brands. The 1,700 retail and gasoline outlets are supported and strengthened by our Financial Services division and the tens of thousands of people employed across the country by the Company and its local Dealers, franchisees and petroleum retailers.
Founded in 1922, Canadian Tire remains one of Canada's most recognized and trusted brands and the place that Canadians turn to every day – and more than 250 million times each year – to tackle the jobs and joys of everyday life in this country. We are an intramural part of the communities in which we operate and our legacy of community support through national and local programs initiated and executed by our Dealers, franchisees, store operators, employees and the Corporation.

Values have always been important to us. From coast to coast we’ve always cared about the well-being of our customers, employees, and Canadian communities. To show our support we’re donating $5M to Canada’s Frontline Healthcare and Community Workers, because values matter more now than ever.
Our CultureFor over 95 years, we have been the retailer of choice for all Canadians and our focus on innovation will drive our success in the years to come. Though our cutting edge store design, digital marketing and e-commerce, the use of leading-edge customer analytics, and state of the art call and distribution centres, we’re continually raising the bar to respond to the diverse and changing needs of our customers.
We recognize our future success depends on the perspectives and contributions of all our employees: their diverse backgrounds, abilities and experiences make our business stronger. We are committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace for all.
Canadian Tire has created a culture of recognition, where all our employees feel valued and appreciated for their contributions. Our online recognition hub, High5, is a robust online community that enables our employees to recognize anyone across our family of companies through e-cards and recognition points, which can be redeemed to purchase merchandise and gift cards from the online shopping area. Our ‘Going for Gold’ program is a CEO-sponsored program that recognizes the most outstanding achievements across our organization each year, and enables us to honour and recognize employees and teams whose contributions exemplify one or more of our Commitments.

Canadian Tire has celebrated life in Canada with communities from coast-to-coast since 1922. As our family of companies grows, so too has our commitment to support community programs that build a stronger country. Our Company also thinks and acts in a sustainable way, which helps us grow our business while reducing our costs and the impact on the community and the environment.
This commitment is integrated into our brand, values, operations and business strategy and is guided by the following aspirations:
Commitment to Communities:
We are good neighbours who are dedicated to the promotion of healthy, active living and building safer communities. We continue to fulfill this commitment through our investments in social cause and community sponsorships across Canada.
Canadian Tire Jumpstart Charities is our primary vehicle for fundraising and charitable giving. It is a national charity, consisting of a network of local Chapters, dedicated to providing kids from financially disadvantaged families with the opportunity to experience the benefits of organized sport and physical activity. Since 2005, Jumpstart has helped more than 1,000,000 kids (and counting) in communities across Canada. For more information, visit http://jumpstart.canadiantire.ca/en.html.
Environmental Sustainability:
Sustainability is more than just a concept – it is core to our business. While many people associate sustainability solely with the environment, it actually encompasses the triple bottom line of social, environmental and financial performance.
As a Company, we’ve made it a top priority to be more energy efficient, use fewer resources, produce less waste and reduce emissions in everything we do. Whether it’s providing more environmentally-preferable products to our customers or developing more sustainable ways to package and deliver products, we’re always innovating to be more sustainable. Canadian Tire reports annually on the benefits from sustainability initiatives across the network and on our Company’s annual environmental footprint.
