One of the Guiding Principles of Zions Bank is to be actively engaged in community issues and help provide creative solutions to community needs. All employees are encouraged to be active participants in their communities.
Annually, Zions Bank employees contribute more than 100,000 hours to worthy organizations and projects in the communities where they live. They serve on more than 150 nonprofit boards and committees, assist with community programs, teach students about finances and more.
Opportunities Zions Bank provides for employee community engagement include:
• Teach Children to Save Day—a bankwide event designed to help K–12 students understand the importance of saving for the future.
• Paint-a-Thon—an annual event that brings employees, their families and friends together to paint homes of senior citizens, disable residents and veterans.
• Annual food drive to support food pantries in Idaho and Utah.
• Annual United Way campaign and annual service projects for the United Way Day of Caring.
• Employees are involved with several United Way programs, such as the Women's Leadership Council, Young Leaders and Tocqueville Society.
• Participation in the political process through the Bank the Vote non-partisan program.
