Roehl Transport, Inc. will be increasing mileage pay for drivers operating under Roehl’s Your Choice Pay Plan effective February 4, 2018 – an increase of 6% to 10% in the mileage rate.
Experienced drivers will get a 5-cents-per-mile increase at level 10 of the pay plan, and inexperienced drivers will get a 2-cents-per-mile increase at level 1. Based on their performance, Roehl truck drivers can move up in the Your Choice Pay Plan each quarter, and all Roehl pay levels will receive an increase.
“We are pleased to announce this pay increase for our driving teammates in the Your Choice Pay Plan,” said Tim Norlin, Vice President of Driver Employment. “We know how hard truck drivers work to provide excellent service to our customers, and it is well deserved. Paired with our $10,000.00 sign-on bonus for experienced drivers joining our fleet, there’s never been a better time to join TeamRoehl!”
In addition to getting paid based on their performance, Roehl drivers are also paid for more of the miles they drive because Roehl pays on “Practical Route” miles, which typically average 8% higher than short route or “HHG” miles that many carriers base their driver pay on. As examples, a driver from the Midwest with one year of prior tractor/trailer experience joining Roehl’s refrigerated national fleet will earn $0.55 per practical route mile. A driver with 5 years of prior experience joining the fleet will earn $0.57 per practical route mile.
Long recognized as a Top Pay Certified Carrier by the National Transportation Institute, publisher of the National Survey of Driver Wages, this pay increase solidifies Roehl Transport as one of the highest paying truckload carriers.
Roehl offers professional drivers a variety of fleet and home time options including national, regional and dedicated positions with most drivers receiving weekly home time.
