Created to insure residents of rural communities access to quality healthcare, Oak Valley Hospital has evolved and adapted its services to meet local needs throughout its 40 year history.

Today, Oak Valley specializes in delivering a network of medical services available locally within minutes of where area residents live or work.

Available to anyone, services are designed to meet healthcare needs of residents or visitors of Oakdale, Knights Ferry, Escalon, Valley Home, Waterford, Modesto, Riverbank and the surrounding area.

Oak Valley Hospital is a full service, non-profit public hospital created to provide residents of Oakdale and the surrounding rural communities with access to superior quality medical information, treatment, and care. Our unwavering dedication to providing premium medical service in the greater Oakdale area drives every decision we make, our ongoing commitment is to the health. and well-being of the Oakdale population.

The history of Oakdale Valley Hospital can be traced back to 1945, when the California legislature authorized voter approval to form special tax districts that allowed the commissioning and operation of public non-profit hospitals.

Then in 1968, voters in eastern Stanislaus County formed the Oak Valley Hospital District to serve residents of Oakdale, Knights Ferry, Valley Home, Waterford, Riverbank and the surrounding areas.

Oak Valley Hospital District Will Continue as an Independent Locally Controlled and Governed Special District Hospital. To Accomplish This We Will Adhere to the Following Guidelines: Being Fiscally Responsible in Our Decision Making Process Maintain and Expand Services that Best Reflect Our Needs and Resources Available Promote Positive Change in the Health Status of Employees and Area Residents.

Benefits
Employees are eligible for benefits the 1st of the month, following 30 days of employment

Full Time With Benefit status - Employees who are regularly scheduled 72-80 hours per pay period. 
Part time With Benefit status - Employees who are regularly scheduled to work 60-71 hours per pay period.

*These employees are not eligible for benefits but will receive a differential added to their base hourly salary. 

*Full Time w/out Benefits – Employees who are regularly scheduled 72-80 hours per pay period.

*Part Time w/out Benefits - Employees who are regularly scheduled 60-71 hours per pay period.

*Part Time employees – Employees who work only as needed rather than on a regularly scheduled basis and less than 60 hours per pay period. 

*Per Diem Employees – Employees required to work at least one weekend shift per twenty-eight (28) day schedule and one major holiday per six (6) month period.
