City of Orlando

The City of Orlando offers its own fountain of youth for tourists from around the globe. The young and the young at heart all flock to Orlando, home to Disney World and other popular theme parks. The fast-growing Orlando, which is in the geographic center of Florida, offers a wide variety of attractions for kids of all ages, including Sea World, Universal Studios, and Epcot. The mayor and six city commissioners (elected for four-year terms) make up its city council, which enacts policy for Orlando. Warm and sunny year-round, the city has some 235,000 residents. Founded in 1885, the City of Orlando, which operates through some 50 departments, has an annual budget of more than $930 million.
