Mission
At St. Vincent, we are committed to providing care and support to those who might not have access to healthcare on a regular basis. Our Catholic health ministry is dedicated to spiritually-centered, holistic care, which sustains and improves the health of individuals and communities. In fiscal year 2017, St. Vincent provided more than $268 million in community benefit and care of persons living in poverty across Indiana.

This fall, St. Vincent, part of Ascension, partnered with community organizations to host its third annual Medical Mission at Home event. The free event is designed to deliver healthcare, social and support services at a convenient location for patients. In the last three years, more than 600 patients have been served.

The event is also an opportunity for St. Vincent associates and family members to serve the community. At our most recent event in September 2018, more than 175 volunteers provided health services to 280 patients, Services included:

        Flu Vaccinations
        Medical exams
        Foot and wound care
        Dental screenings
        Prescriptions at no cost – courtesy of the Dispensary of Hope
        Mammography
        Sports physicals

Patients were also able to obtain food from our food pantry and winter coats, hats, and gloves from our coat closet.
