J. F. Edwards Construction Company is a specialty outside electrical contracting firm founded by John F. Edwards Sr. in 1947.
The company is an IBEW union contractor and has been proudly so since originally founded.
This long standing relationship with the IBEW has proven to be key to our ability to staff our labor needs with qualified, well trained, productive and safety oriented personnel.
With over 60 years’ experience in the electrical construction arena, we have the confidence and ability to exceed industry expectations, delivering quality work on or ahead of schedule while complying to the highest safety records.
The Company initially specialized in overhead electrical distribution and transmission work for power companies in Illinois, Iowa and Wisconsin. Starting in the late 1960′s, JFECC began focusing on underground electrical projects.
JFECC currently develops its activity in the following areas:
*Wind Farm Electrical Collection Systems
*Transmission Lines
*Substations
*Specialty Electrical Lighting Services
*Airport Lighting and Navaids
*Highway Signing
*Directional Boring
In 2010 JFECC was merged into the EIP Group (www.eip-sa.pt), a European based multinational company established in 1956 and specializing in Transmission Lines and Substations with a presence in 12 countries on 4 continents.
