Committed to our Veterans and Military Spouse EmployeesT-Mobile is a nationally recognized military-friendly employer for veterans and military spouses because of our inclusive culture and benefits. Our Veteran & Allies Network employee resource group seeks to increase awareness around veteran culture, the positive impact veterans add to the business, and how veterans’ values, training, skills, and background are a great fit at this company of bold achievers. T-Mobile Military Compensation plan includes paid leave for military activities including drill weekends, 52 weeks of health coverage following deployment, and more. Veterans and military spouses never stop delivering their best, so it’s a goal to give our employees quality benefits that support their everyday lives.
T-Mobile Joined the Climate PledgeThe Un‑carrier becomes the first in U.S. wireless to set a target to achieve net‑zero emissions across its entire carbon footprint by 2040. T-Mobile joined the Climate Pledge, which is powered by 380 companies in 34 countries around the globe that pledge to reach net-zero carbon by 2040. The Climate Pledge, co-founded by Amazon and Global Optimism in 2019, is a collective commitment to achieve net-zero 10 years ahead of The Paris Agreement.
In 2019, T-Mobile was the first in the U.S. wireless industry to set science-based targets (SBTs) that address our Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions and align to 1.5℃. Since then, T-Mobile has aggressively worked towards reaching these targets. Even after completing the largest merger in wireless history in 2020, we are proud to have achieved both of our original targets at the end of 2021.
People can’t thrive unless our planet, the world that sustains us, is thriving. And the Un-carrier is going all in when it comes to doing our part to build a more sustainable future. We’ll continue to report our progress in our annual Corporate Responsibility Report and to CDP, where we earned an A- for our 2021 CDP Climate Change disclosures.
