About California Teaching Fellows Foundation
California Teaching Fellows Foundation (CTFF) was initiated at Fresno State’s Kremen School of Education & Human Development in 1999 to provide paid early field experience for future teachers that would enhance teacher preparation. Then in 2006, CTFF became a 501 (c)3 nonprofit to further grow the program to meet increasing requests from school districts for support of their growing afterschool programs. Now CTFF partners with over 50 districts to staff programs at more than 300 K-12 school sites and employ nearly 2,000 college students in Tulare, Kings, Fresno, Madera, Merced, and Sacramento counties to serve more than 30,000 elementary, middle, and high school students every day to provide supplemental classroom, after school and summer program instruction, tutoring and mentorship. CTFF also provides its Teaching Fellows with ongoing professional and personal development through a variety of resources, including the Dream Initiative.
