Training and Development Opportunities at Goodwill
Our commitment to developing and supporting our Goodwill team members to reach their greatest potential includes our recently launched G90 Retail Manager Training program. "G" stands for Goodwill and "90" for the first 90 days––which are crucial to success in any new position. We are thrilled to be able to assist our new team members in their integration so we can all keep our organization and retail operations going strong!
1. Foundational Leader Academy
The Foundational Leader Academy (FLA) is a cohort-based leadership development program that focuses on communication, leading change, leadership styles and much more. All courses were designed to equip leaders with the skills necessary to excel both in and out of GCNA. Additionally, leaders will experience several human resource courses focusing on policies, employment laws and performance management, providing leaders with the necessary tools to:

- Communicate effectively
- Build their team spectrum
- Lead through positive influence
2. Job Shadow Program
We are excited to give team members from one area of the organization the opportunity to work alongside and gain experience of the role of another team member. It can also be used to provide an individual within a department the opportunity to work alongside more experienced team members, so they can learn and develop within their current role.
3. Goodwill Mentor Program
The GCNA Mentor Program connects team members who have specific skills and knowledge with team members who want to achieve similar skills or knowledge and have the desire to grow professionally. Mentoring relationships focus on skill development, goal setting, career planning, problem-solving and networking. Mentors and mentees share their values and goals in a mutually respectful, supportive way which leads to a more enriched life for both.
