Community Engagement - Results speak louder than words - AGIA is the highest contributing community partner for United Way Santa Barbara.
Between our self-sacrificing associates and our company match, AGIA consistently flies well past our annual fundraising goal each year. We fully expected an understandable reduction in employee contributions throughout the pandemic, but the amazing people we work alongside upped the ante each year.
Community Engagement - Partnering with United Way for their annual "Fun in the Sun" community event.
Since 1997, United Way of Santa Barbara County has provided Fun in the Sun, a national award-winning summer learning collaborative program involving 80 service delivery partners, 20+ funding partners (one of which is AGIA), and over 600 volunteers. Originally designed to address summer learning loss, FITS has expanded its academic curriculum and services to position itself as a holistic space to support students and their families throughout the summer. Enriched with a robust mindfulness program, STEAM activities, mentorship opportunities, environmental education, and field trips, the program offers hundreds of students and families throughout the community with an enriching summer experience.

Community Engagement - We are proud to contribute to the well-being of women by sponsoring Girls Inc.
In partnership with schools and at Girls Inc. centers, Girls Inc. focuses on the development of the whole girl. She learns to value herself, take risks, and discover and develop her inherent strengths. The combination of long-lasting mentoring relationships, a pro-girl environment, and evidence-based programming equips girls to navigate gender, economic, and social barriers, and grow up healthy, educated, and independent. Informed by girls and their families, we also advocate for legislation and policies to increase opportunities and rights for all girls.

AGIA supports Girls Inc with financial contributions as well summer time sponsorships, providing one or two girls the opportunity to work with our Marketing team. This sponsorship gives these young women the chance to increase their technical acumen, learn valuable leadership and project management skills, and have real-world experience to assist them in refining their future goals.
