About MAUI DIVERS JEWELRY
Founded in 1959, MAUI DIVERS JEWELRY is the largest jewelry manufacturer and retailer in Hawaii. Renowned for its unique, high-quality handcrafted designs featuring pearls, precious corals, Hawaiian gold, diamonds and other beautiful gemstones, the company owns and operates 35 concept locations—MAUI DIVERS JEWELRY, Island Pearls and Pick-A-Pearl. All the jewelry it produces is designed and created locally at its Jewelry Design Center in Honolulu.

A big reason MAUI DIVERS JEWELRY is so successful is because of its employees. We have an amazing staff that is vested in the success of MAUI DIVERS JEWELRY through an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) and wide-ranging employee benefits and perks. We’ve invested in our employees to ensure we fulfill our mission to prioritize not only financial profits but also a healthy and positive work environment.

This is an exciting time at Maui Divers. Last year, we expanded our long-standing partnership with another iconic brand, Hilo Hattie, which now has a presence at the Jewelry Design Center. We also recently opened two new stores in Haleiwa and at the International Marketplace with more to come in the future.
The Maui Divers Story
Maui Divers of Hawaii started in 1958 as an undersea touring company in Lahaina, Maui which was once a bustling whaler's port. Experienced local guides escorted adventurous visitors on diving excursions to experience the astonishing beauty of the island's exotic ocean environment.

A fishing expedition in the deep waters off the Moloka`i Channel led Maui Divers to the discovery of Hawaiian black coral, one of the ocean's finest treasures and now considered to be the most lustrous coral in the world. MAUI DIVERS JEWELRY was founded in 1959 when the company began designing, manufacturing and selling Hawaiian black coral jewelry.

In 1962, the company expanded operations and relocated to Honolulu. Over the decades since, MAUI DIVERS JEWELRY has grown to become the largest manufacturer of precious coral jewelry in the world, as well as the largest jewelry manufacturer in the state of Hawai`i.

From the beginning, the company has been sensitive to the preservation of its coral resource, working hard to protect and conserve the beauty that first drew us undersea. Hawaiian corals come from sites carefully harvested to ensure healthy ongoing replenishment.

In addition to Hawaiian black coral, MAUI DIVERS JEWELRY features rare Hawaiian gold coral and exotic deep-water pink and red corals. The company also showcases unique, handcrafted collections that feature cultured Tahitian black pearls, South Sea pearls, Japanese Akoya pearls, freshwater pearls, Australian opals, diamonds, peridot and other beautiful gemstones.

Maui Divers is proud to offer a wide range of Hawaiian gold jewelry featuring Hawai`i and Pacific Ocean themes and marine life. The customized 14 karat Hawaiian Heirloom jewelry with black enamel is an Island tradition that dates back over 125 years, to the last Hawaiian monarch.

All of Maui Divers’ exclusive jewelry is handcrafted, from design sketch to final stone setting, in the company’s Jewelry Design Center in Honolulu. Millions of visitors from around the world have toured this facility for a behind-the-scenes glimpse of the making of fine jewelry with an island flair.
