About Kern Valley Healthcare District
Kern Valley Healthcare District (KVHD) is a rural non-profit critical access hospital with 25 Acute Care beds, a 74-bed Skilled Nursing Facility with a Rural Health Clinic, Emergency, ICU, and Surgery departments. We also provide Clinical Laboratory, Radiology, Physical Therapy and Respiratory Therapy services. We have electronic health record and telemedicine systems and are committed to expanding our resources and providing high quality care to every patient/resident.
Just 45 minutes from Bakersfield, California, KVHD is located in a remote mountain community and the home of the wild, scenic Kern River that runs through the quaint town of Kernville.
