Kern Valley Healthcare District

Kern Valley Healthcare District (KVHD) is a rural non-profit critical access hospital with 25 Acute Care beds, a 74-bed Skilled Nursing Facility with a Rural Health Clinic, Emergency, ICU, and Surgery departments. We also provide Clinical Laboratory, Radiology, Physical Therapy and Respiratory Therapy services. We have electronic health record and telemedicine systems and are committed to expanding our resources and providing high quality care to every patient/resident.
Just 45 minutes from Bakersfield, California, KVHD is located in a remote mountain community and the home of the wild, scenic Kern River that runs through the quaint town of Kernville. We have a magnificent panoramic view of Lake Isabella and surrounding mountains and the cost of living is very reasonable. There is a variety of outdoor activities such as, boating, wind surfing, river rafting, snow skiing, camping, etc. We welcome you to live, work and play in the beautiful Kern River Valley.
