With 30 years of delivering market-leading repairs, refurbishment, fire safety and building maintenance services, Mears is trusted to deliver in excess of 6,000 housing repairs daily to a portfolio of more than 1,000,000 homes nationwide.
We provide Housing Management services right across the UK. We work in partnership with Central and Local Government, registered providers, tenants, landlords and investors to find solutions to homelessness, provide more social and affordable housing and create specialist housing for people with care needs.
We have built on our work to integrate housing and care contracts, at the front line delivery of service but also in the creation of new specialist accommodation, such as Supported Living housing and Extra Care property. Mears currently provides care and support services to 21 extra care schemes across the country and have 10 years’ experience of providing services in these types of settings. Our services are provided in a wide range of schemes, including small buildings with a few properties and large sites with over 80 apartments. Within some local authority areas we manage services across multiple schemes.

The Cabinet agreed recommendations to appoint Mears Group at their meeting on 27 November.
Mears will be managing responsive repairs, planned maintenance and empty dwellings for Crawley Homes properties from 1 April this year.
The contract, which is valued at £167 million over 10 years will split the town into two areas, with Mears delivering maintenance in one area and Wates in the other.
Existing staff will be moved over the new contractors, ensuring no disruption to council tenants and the same familiar faces at appointments.
The chosen contractors came top in both quality and price, scoring highly for their approach to the environment and their commitment to the community.
