About Te Tomika Trust
Te Tomika Trust is a Kaupapa Māori service serving tangata whaiora and their whanāu based in Tauranga Moana. We operate under the Māori Model of Health, Te Whare Tapa Wha to provide a supportive healing environment for tangata whaiora to live meaningful lives. The Trust was incorporated in 1990 and is registered as a Charitable Trust.
We know that together, we are better.
With a belief in continual development for our team members, by joining us you will have access to ongoing training and education, such as support to gain your Level 4 Qualification in Health and Wellbeing, receiving hands on support through this process and at no cost to you.
Our focus on the four dimensions of wellbeing; Taha tinana (physical health), Taha wairua (spiritual health), Taha whānau (family health) and Taha hinengaro (mental health), is not limited to our work with whaiora, we bring this approach to our mahi too. Your health and wellbeing will be supported with access to EAP, internal supervision and in some situations, paid external supervision. We ensure healthy rostering, clear communication with kaimahi and your days will be filled with various activities including team sports, enjoying time out in the rā.
We know that it is important to lead from the front and our leaders strive off mana enhancement values, embracing our kaimahi and encouraging you to be the best that you can be. Our leaders also undergo training, supporting our vision of continuous improvement.
