Recent such disasters were Hurricane Harvey in Houston, TX and tornados in El Reno, OK. In the aftermath of these events, Select raised funds and contributed man hours towards recovery efforts.
Select’s GEAR Internship program allows north Texas high school students the opportunity to earn scholarship money towards college while getting real-world work experience. Since inception, the program has hosted over 50 high school interns at 8 different local companies. Each semester, a new group of interns goes to work with host companies in the disciplines of Accounting, Administration, Healthcare, Human Resources, Information Technology, Marketing, Operations Management, Warehousing, or Welding.

Select offers a number of life insurance options to help employees plan ahead and provide financial security for their families when they need it the most. Select offers eligible employees company paid basic life and AD&D (Accidental Death and Dismemberment) insurance coverage as well as voluntary term life insurance options that offer a wide range of coverage levels and premiums. Select also offers short and long-term disability insurance at no costs to employees. Employees rely on their paychecks, and these policies can help protect them by replacing a portion of their income during periods of disabling illness or injury.

Select also offers a dollar-for-dollar match on a portion of employees’ contributions, and that’s an immediate 100 percent return on that money. By contributing on a pre-tax basis, employees can also reduce the amount of income tax they pay each year.
