About Help Foundation, Inc
HELP Foundation (HELP) has been a leading provider of residential services for children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) since 1965. Beginning with a few dedicated families and one childrens’ home, HELP has grown to care for more than 700+ individuals each year in over 20 locations.
Our mission is to ensure that people with IDD have the homes, environments and opportunities to be valued members of their communities. In serving this mission HELP provides residential support services in Cuyahoga and Summit counties as well as our HELP Summer Program for children with developmental, behavioral, and medical disabilities, and the HELP Adult Day Support & Vocational Programs. All of our programs are dedicated to providing the best quality services to our clients, based on their needs and desires so that they might live their best lives.

For more than 50 years, HELP Foundation has served people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. We provide residential, employment, transportation and day support services for adults, and summer enrichment opportunities for children.

We take fun and engagement seriously! Each month, we customize a full calendar of activities based on individuals interests and outcomes. We take advantage of all the wonderful, unique experiences the Greater Cleveland Area has to offer. Most days, you’ll find us enjoying priceless works of art at the Cleveland Art Museum, admiring the natural beauty at the Cleveland Botanic Gardens, picnicing in the Cleveland Metroparks, playing pinball at the Super Electric Pinball Parlor, dining with their peers at local eateries, skating at the roller rink and joining a class at the local YMCA, just to name a few…

Our Adult Day Support Programs gives back to the Greater Cleveland Communities through a variety of volunteer roles, such as sorting medical supplies for MedWish, helping out at Ronald McDonald House, raising funds for victims of natural disasters, packaging food at the Cleveland Food Bank, assisting with projects at the the Salvation Army and more! We look for opportunities that match the interests, talents, and special abilities of our consumer volunteers.

With over 46 years of experience, there are no other summer programs in Northeast Ohio that are equipped to offer this engaging and uplifting Extended School Year program with the capability to serve students with a wide range of disability and medical needs. Our highly trained teaching and nursing staff makes the most of the summer to continue the educational structure and support that students thrive on during the school year.

-We provide all students with daily gross motor activities, both indoors and outdoors
-Two meals per day offered: Breakfast and Lunch
Two convenient locations: East Side and West Side

Paid vocational training is available through our Vocational Programs HELP Cornucopia and HELP Shredding. Going to work and using talents and skills is exciting. Vocational Habilitation services can reduce or remove any barriers to employment. We believe that people with disabilities, given the right opportunities, can work and be productive members of society.
