Greenfield is Canada’s leading specialty alcohols producer and an innovator in the renewable fuels industry. Blending a pioneering spirit with demonstrated business expertise, Greenfield is leveraging its experience in commercial alcohols and grain ethanol in order to develop a vibrant and sustainable next generation bio-chemicals business.
Greenfield has built a strong record of success around the world by providing biobased specialty alcohols and ethanol. We have done this while being a stable and secure customer for Canadian corn farmers, driving economic growth and employment in rural areas, and consistently supplying cleaner burning fuels for Canada’s driving public. We are also proud to be on the forefront of scientific development and the commercialization of cellulosic ethanol and other biobased products.
Commitment to quality, sustainability, and effectiveness as a low-cost producer allows Greenfield to continually innovate at the plant level. Co-products of the alcohol production process such as distiller’s grains, and corn oil are manufactured and sold as valuable energy sources to Canadian livestock farmers. Waste heat and carbon dioxide (CO2) is also put to good use through projects such as those with Truly Green Farms and other greenhouse initiatives in Canada.
