About Buffalo Hearing & Speech Center
Our Not for Profit Organization has a 70-year history being of service to children, adults, and families in Western New York. We believe that communication is a basic human right. Our highly skilled and compassionate staff are ready to serve you with whatever communication or learning needs you may bring to our doors. Through a variety of different programs, we offer innovative services to children and adults with speech, hearing, communication, and specialized education/learning needs.

We are leaders in hearing and speech rehabilitation, language and literacy proficiency therapies, social communication programs, evidence-based autism interventions, Oral Deaf Education, Early Childhood Education, and Early Intervention programs. We are a team of over 400 professionals working to help 11,000+ people of all ages each year.

Early Childhood Education Opportunities
Buffalo Hearing & Speech is willing to work with Special Education Teacher candidates who have a passion for early childhood education and plan to actively pursue their NYS Students with Disabilities B-2 or 1-6 certification while teaching. Our preschool special education classrooms require Students with Disabilities B-2 certification, and our school-age (K-2) classrooms require Students with Disabilities B-2 or 1-6 certification.

Buffalo Hearing & Speech also provides a pathway for classroom aides to earn their New York State Level 1 Teacher Assistant certification while employed.
Flexbile Hours
Buffalo Hearing & Speech offers a variety of schedules for certain positions including:

- Full Time or Part Time – work a set schedule
- Substitute – work as needed
- Classroom Aides & Teachers
- Fee for Service – create your own schedule with a caseload
- Speech Language Pathologists
- Occupational Therapists
- Physical Therapists
- Special Education Teachers

All positions are eligible to earn paid sick leave & employees that work an average of 30 hours a week may be eligible for health insurance.
