Health Insurance: Employee is responsible to pay 20% of premium of employee selected District offered health insurance coverage.
Dental Insurance: District pays 100% of individual coverage. Employee pays 30% per month for family coverage.
Vision Insurance: Vision insurance is provided by the District for individual or family coverage at no cost to the employee for the length of their employment.
Life Insurance: A $10,000 individual term policy is provided by the District at no cost to the employee for the length of their employment.
Short and Long Term Disability: Short and Long Term disability coverage is provided by the District at no cost to the employee.
Unreimbursed Medical and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Arrangement (FSA): Voluntary re-direction of pre-tax wages into a FSA as authorized and defined in Section 125 of the IRS regulations. This benefit is administered by the District but is subject to all guidelines and mandates of IRS regulations and any New York State or Federal tax law or regulation that is applicable presently or in the future. FSA’s consist of employee contributions only. There is no District contribution.
Retirement: The individual is eligible for an employer match of up to 2% of the employee’s 12 month salary contingent upon equal contribution by the employee to an employee elected 403(b) provider. Employee is solely responsible for selection of the 403(b) contract holder however the contractor must be approved by OMNI Financial Services, who is the District’s third party administrator of this benefit.
Leave time:
• Sick: 12 days per year given July 1. May accumulate up to 180 days during term of employment. Unused days are forfeited at the time of employment separation.
• Family: 3 days per year given July 1. Non-cumulative, unused days are forfeited.
• Personal: 3 days per year given July 1. Non-cumulative, unused days will be converted to sick days at June 30. These days will not be allowed to convert if the maximum number of sick days allowed to be accrued has been reached.
• Bereavement Leave: 3 days per year given July 1. Non-cumulative, unused days are forfeited.
• Vacation: 15 days given per year given July 1. On the July 1st following completion of 5 years of in-District service, the number of vacation days given will be increased to 20 days per year. These days, converted to hours, may accrue to a maximum of 224 hours. Accrued vacation time will be paid at time of termination of employment only if the employee leaves in good standing and has provided the District with notice of intent to leave, in writing, 30 days prior to the their last day of employment. No other types of leave will be eligible for payment upon termination of employment with the District.
• Holidays: 13 paid holidays, subject to the school being closed on these days. Defined as: New Year’s Day, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, President’s Day, Good Friday, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving Day and the following day, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. With regard to the Good Friday holiday: If school is in session a floating holiday may be taken, subject to supervisor approval, between Good Friday and June 30th. The floating holiday will be forfeited if not taken by June 30th.
