We want our staff to be their authentic selves at work, so we've updated our dress guidelines to align much better with our values and support the kind of work environment we want to sustain. Our new policy is based on three simple principles:

1) Personal Expression – We support individuality, inclusivity, and creativity. All staff should be able to dress comfortably and engage in the work environment without fear of harassment or body shaming.

2) Function – Wear clothes that are clean, comfortable, and meet health and safety standards.

3) Respect – It’s important that the clothing and scents we wear foster a respectful, inclusive, and welcoming environment.

The results from our fall staff engagement survey are in! Nearly 95% of our staff said they would recommend working with us. We appreciate the positive feedback and are working each day to get to 100%.

Mississippi Market is moving our organizational base (minimum) wage to $15 starting on June 29, 2020. Reaching a $15 base wage has been a goal of ours for a number of years and we’ve made steady and significant progress towards it. If we were to follow city of St. Paul requirements we would reach that rate in 2023. Recent events, however, have led us to make this change now.
