New Story Schools

New Story’s private licensed schools offer an academic learning environment integrated with behavior support services for students ages 5 through 21 experiencing social, emotional, educational and behavioral challenges. As an alternate placement, New Story works closely with families, school districts and other professionals to create an individualized program unique to each student.

New Story helps students with serious and complex behavioral and educational challenges. We provide the necessary supports to help children and their families create new stories of success and growth.

Since the company’s inception in 1997, our highly-skilled educators and therapists have been working with children and their families to provide personalized education and support to help them overcome challenges and achieve success.

New Story supports students with an educational diagnosis which has resulted in the development of an Individualized Education Plan (IEP). This could include (but is not limited to) students diagnosed with:
• Autism
• Emotional Disturbance
• Intellectual Disabilities
• Specific Learning Disabilities
• Multiple Disabilities

Any time within the year, the home school district can discuss placing a student with New Story and a referral will be opened. The New Story team then works collaboratively with the school district and family to identify the academic and behavioral needs which can be met at New Story.
