Learning and Development

Smart Self-Help Groups

Self-Help Groups (SHGs) is the Indian government’s initiative towards fostering economic prosperity and women empowerment and it currently supports 70 million women in rural India. However, SHGs are faced with high illiteracy rates and poor finance management skills. To address these challenges, CREATIVE developed the SMART SHG course to equip women in SHGs with technology-based solutions and empower them in their entrepreneurial and financial pursuits.
 
Women in Sustaining the Environment (WISE)

WISE is a water quality monitoring project that aims to provide women with tools to monitor local drinking water supply. Through this programme, we train local women (water ambassadors) with our AmriTAU protocol, helping them track clean water in a scalable and cost-effective manner.
 
Gender Conversation Workshops for CRPF

CRPF (Central Reserve Police Force) personnel’s nature of work can be challenging. Several members of the force have mental health concerns such as depression, anxiety and suicidal ideations. In efforts to address these challenges, CREATIVE partnered up with an NGO to organise workshops training 25,000 CRPF members on mental health and gender-based violence. We plan to take this initiative ahead with updated training modules in the coming years.
