Colten Care is a family-owned care home operator established for over 40 years. We design, build, own and run care homes across the South of England, each with individual character and consistently high standards of comfort. Our well trained teams set the very highest standards of residential, nursing and dementia care including in-house catering and activities.

Lorna's journey from Kitchen Domestic to Head Chef - Starting her career at Colten Care with a part-time job washing dishes, Lorna went on to become our first catering apprentice at The Bournemouth & Poole College. After qualifying with her NVQ Level 3 in Catering and Hospitality, Lorna became Second Chef at Belmore Lodge in Lymington, before being promoted to the position of Head Chef at Amberwood House. Lorna is now responsible for a ten-strong kitchen team at our Bourne View care home, and her career is going from strength to strength.
