We think of our corporate headquarters as the Store Support Center, because the different departments are here to support store employees that deliver quality products and service to our customers every day. The Store Support Center is located in Goodlettsville, TN, 16 miles north of Nashville. You'll enjoy a dynamic, fast-paced environment where each and every day, you'll encounter new and exciting challenges. Dollar General has many moving parts to meet customers' needs, along with an aggressive growth strategy. This requires innovative thinkers and people who challenge our organization to operate more efficiently and effectively in multiple fields.

Fleet

Dollar General has their own private fleet and we are always looking for drivers to join the team. We also offer the opportunity to become a DG truck driver to our store and DC employees through the Internal Driver Training Program. In addition to receiving a competitive driver's salary and annual bonus after completion of the program, DG will cover the cost of tuition for CDL Driving School.

Store Careers

Customer focus is the driving force behind our operations and support functions. Our founders led this charge at Dollar General's inception, and it has been translated into a statement of purpose for the organization.

Sales Careers

Sales Associate applications are accepted online or at our stores. Individual stores hire and manage their own part-time and full-time employees.

Distribution Center Careers

The distribution network is an integral component of our retail business operation, as nearly all items that reach our store shelves pass through one of our 17 distribution centers. Distribution Center employees are responsible for receiving, warehousing, and shipping the products you see in our stores every day. The Distribution Centers accept hourly applications locally, which are clerical and material handling positions.

Dollar General has collaborated with Strayer University and Capella University to align the cost of select associate and bachelor’s degree programs to Dollar General’s tuition scholarship program. This means you will have the opportunity to pursue an eligible degree for low to no out-of-pocket costs.
