As Australia’s oldest continuously operating organisation, Australia Post is now over 200 years old. The organisation processes around 21 million mail items each day. Since becoming a Government Business Enterprise in 1989, Australia Post has been a completely self funded operation that faces full competition in nearly all areas of its business. Promoting the relevance of traditional letter mail in today’s fast changing technological world is a priority – as is the determination to extend business in new directions. When Kylie took a role as Postal Manager in Tennant Creek, she was looking for a new adventure. She now has a new home and feels part of the community. In such a remote community, delivering mail and packages is an essential part of each day.
