Jacob Unger utilized his innovative skill to create a new safe zone feature for the production line. As shown in the picture this device will be used as a block to prevent racks from rolling into each other on the production line when employees are working on them.

We encourage our team members to be creative in the pursuit of excellence. HR recognized Jacob's innovation and Jacob was rewarded.
Essex Weld Learning Partner
EWS Leamington in partnership with the Windsor-Essex Catholic District School Board; provided 6 youths with a memorable cooperative education experience. The students are enrolled in the Ontario Youth Apprenticeship Program which allows them to gain access to the trades, and begin apprenticeship training as part of their high school diploma.

EWS Leamington was happy to partake in the efforts of these youth to transition from high school to the workplace in a skilled trade. The students developed an awareness for Health & Safety, and an appreciation for a Manufacturing work environment.

- The robot must be self driven (so every robot make a self decision to immobilize the opponent), RC
control is not allowed to control the robot.
