About PennDOT
The Executive Office of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania governs the more than 12 million residents of the Keystone State. The governor, who is Pennsylvania's chief executive, manages a budget of roughly $28 billion. The governor appoints (with senate approval) a cabinet of secretaries which head up the state's various agencies including Conservation & Natural Resources, Community and Economic Development, Education, and Military & Veterans Affairs. Governor Edward Rendell began his term of office in 2003.
