Monroe Health Center

Monroe Health Center is an FQHC and has been serving the residents of Monroe County, WV and surrounding counties for over 40 years. We are continually changing to meet the healthcare needs of the community by expanding our services, facilities and medical staff to provide high quality healthcare.

Professionals consist of full-time board-certified family practice physicians, physician's assistants, nurse practitioners and sixty various medical and administrative support staff located among the centers. Monroe Health Center's main health center and administrative office is located in Union, WV. We operate two satellite sites, located in Peterstown, WV and Craig County, VA.

Wellness Centers have been opened in every school in the counties we serve. Children and staff are able to be seen by licensed healthcare professionals every day school is in session. Each Wellness Center is staffed by a family Nurse Practitioner or Physician's Assistant and a Licensed Practical Nurse.

In 2010 Monroe Health Center expanded our services to include family dentistry at the Craig County Dental Center in New Castle, VA. Professional staff consists of a full-time board certified dentist, one full-time and one part-time dental hygienist, and two full-time dental assistants.

Our Mission: The mission of Monroe Health Center is to increase access to comprehensive primary, preventative, public health services, eliminate health disparities, and to improve the healthcare status of underserved and vulnerable populations.
