Leadership Development

Our hallmark programs are designed to help new and experienced leaders develop the skills they need to effectively manage and lead others.

Managing @ DFCI is designed for those new to Dana-Farber and/or new to managing a team.

Mastering the Leadership Challenge is a nomination-based program intended for high-potential senior leaders to increase their capacity for creating & communicating a strategic vision while leading inclusive teams.

Coaching

Dana-Farber supports a variety of leadership and executive coaching for individuals seeking personal or professional development. Our one-on-one coaching helps to clarify and to achieve goals, to build/enhance skill sets or to assist in a key leadership transition. Team coaching is available for newly formed leadership teams, teams in transition or teams experiencing a high level of change.

Consulting

Our internal consultants bring a wide range of tools and techniques to assess team and individual performance while enhancing communication, strategic thinking and working relationships. Examples of solutions include team retreats, ongoing support for new and merging teams, and team development activities.

Office of Workforce Development

The Office of Workforce Development provides programs and learning experiences for qualified adults and youth in order to fill the pipeline to clinical, allied health, research and healthcare administration careers with highly skilled, engaged and diverse candidates from local communities.

Finding Colleagues Through Commonality

Our Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) help build a unified sense of community, offer their members professional and personal development opportunities, and provide access to Institute leaders as a way to influence meaningful change.

Mosaic

Mosaic ERG celebrates and contributes to the cultural and racial diversity of the Dana-Farber community. Signature events include the Annual Celebration of the Life and Legacy of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and DFCI’s Annual Stand Against Racism Event.

LGTBQ & Friends

LGBTQ & Friends ERG fosters an inclusive environment at Dana-Farber by promoting, supporting, and increasing awareness of the LGBTQ community.

Working Parents

Working Parents ERG provides professional development, mentorship and serves as an Intranet resource center for parents. Membership is open to all; parenthood not required.
