About Great Lakes Airlines
What makes Great Lakes Airlines such a Great Place to work?
Great Lakes Airlines offers a competitive salary and benefits package, including, but not limited to, a retirement plan, health & life insurance, and paid time off.
Perhaps you would like to explore places you have never been? It’s as easy as jumping on a flight with Great Lakes or one of our partner airlines—our employees enjoy discounted (and sometimes free) travel on over 70 carriers world-wide.
Great Lakes Airlines is proud to be the 4th largest carrier serving the Denver International Airport in terms of daily departures. With just over 30 aircraft, this is no small feat! We provide daily connections for our code-share partners Frontier and United, as well as daily service to small communities and larger hubs throughout the country. Our multiple locations provide opportunities to live and work in great places throughout the United States.
Our headquarters in Cheyenne, Wyoming, is set in the backdrop of the Rocky Mountains, just a short drive (or flight) to our main hub in the city of Denver, CO. At Great Lakes we have a commitment to excellence and safety. Our maintenance team strives to maintain the safest and most reliable aircraft in the industry. We have the proud distinction of being a multiple recipient of the FAA Diamond Award for exceptional maintenance training.
In addition to having the opportunity to operate some of the safest and most efficient aircraft, our pilots are among the most experienced and professional in the industry. Our pilot training program is highly respected among other carriers, and with the quick upgrade times and a valuable flight experience we have to offer, the Sky is the limit for Great Lakes pilots.
People often say that the only thing constant in the airline industry is change. Our employees tend to love a fast-paced environment that requires teamwork to meet daily challenges. Great Lakes has a long history of offering our team members stable employment with many opportunities for growth and development.
Finally, what makes Great Lakes Airlines such a great place to work? It can be defined in one word: community. While we continue to grow, and have the distinction of being recognized as a well-respected corporation, we try not to lose sight of the fact that it is our employees that are responsible for the Company’s success. Great Lakes Airlines offers a community environment where everyone’s job is important and respected—and each individual matters.
