About Hospice Of Rockingham County, Inc.
Providing quality end-of-life care since 1987, Hospice Of Rockingham County is a full-service, community-based, nonprofit hospice care provider based in Rockingham County. The majority of patients that we care for live in Rockingham County but HRC also serves patients in Caswell, Guilford, and Stokes counties. With over 350 years’ collective experience in the hospice field (and more than 800 years in respective disciplines), our staff is extremely knowledgeable and skilled in facilitating end-of-life care.
Care is provided wherever home may be for patients and families. The majority of patients are able to remain in their homes (or family members' homes) but "home" may also be an assisted living community, nursing care center, retirement community, or group home. Additionally, Hospice Of Rockingham County may provide care in our own 8-bed inpatient unit, known as Gibson House.
End-of-life care is appropriate for anyone coping with a life-limiting illness offering a prognosis of six months or less that has decided to focus on comfort and quality of life over curative treatment for their condition.
