About QSAC, Inc.
Founded more than 40 years ago, Quality Services for the Autism Community (QSAC) is a non-profit organization that provides services to more than 2,500 children and adults with autism in New York City and Long Island. QSAC is dedicated to its mission to support children and adults with autism in achieving greater independence, realizing their future potential, and contributing to their communities in a meaningful way. QSAC pursues this mission through direct services that provide a supportive and individualized setting for children and adults with autism to improve their communication, socialization, academic, and functional skills.

QSAC was created by a group of parents confronting the limited service options for their children with autism and initially served 20 students with autism through a summer program. Today, QSAC has over 30 unique programs serving individuals with autism from all five boroughs of New York City, as well as Long Island, throughout their lifespan. Programs for children include early intervention, preschool, school, after school, pre-employment training, and in-home educational and support services. QSAC’s adult programs include supportive living, vocational and life skills development programs, employment training and placement programs, and in-home services. Additionally, QSAC offers support groups and trainings for parents, siblings, and caregivers to connect with their peers, and equip themselves with the tools necessary to improve their child/charge’s independence and quality of life. All of QSAC’s programs provide high-impact services with a commitment to quality, and are delivered by an encouraging and well-trained staff.

In support of its direct service programs, QSAC strives to be an innovator in the field of developmental disability services by implementing new technologies to best support the children and adults in our programs. In addition, QSAC’s clinical and educational leadership teams regularly embark on research projects that seek to unlock new and innovative strategies and methodologies to best support the individuals we serve and reach their ideal learning outcomes.

To extend its impact, QSAC offers external trainings and educational outreach to other schools and non-profit organizations to expand the community’s awareness regarding autism and access to services.
