Human Resources Center, Inc.

HRC is a 501(3)c nonprofit organization based in Northeast Pennsylvania providing support and services to individuals with disabilities in Wayne, Pike, Carbon, Monroe, Lackawanna, and Susquehanna counties. Established in 1973, HRC began as a passion project to serve an underrepresented group of the community by promoting inclusion and acceptance. Over four decades later, HRC has grown into a devoted institution of over 400 caring and qualified individuals with a shared goal in mind: serve and support.

Our Mission: Through our diverse program offerings, we empower those we serve to make meaningful life choices, encourage self-advocacy, and promote independence while breaking down the barriers that hinder community inclusion.
Our Vision: At HRC, our wish is to provide individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities the ability to realize their potential. This is accomplished through the discovery of their interests and aspirations, the forging of relationships with others through social interaction, and the chance to lead meaningful and accomplished lives. We wish to build a community that embraces individual differences while promoting equality, one that offers inclusion and accessibility to all.
