Ruby Valley Medical Center

The Ruby Valley Medical Center, located in Southwestern Montana, is a rural, critical access hospital dedicated to providing quality and compassionate healthcare to the over 2500 residents and visitors of Sheridan, Twin Bridges, Virginia City, Alder, Laurin, Silver Star and Waterloo. The Medical Center offers five in-patient beds, two observation beds, diagnostic imaging, laboratory, physical therapy, speech language pathology, swing bed, 24 hour emergency care and a highly qualified nursing staff. Our healthcare providers support patients through the Ruby Valley Medical Center and the clinics in Sheridan and Twin Bridges. Our clinics offer a wide range of healthcare services including pediatrics, well-woman exams, sports physicals, geriatrics, mental health, osteopathic care, chiropractic care, treatment for chronic pain and tele-medicine to off-site specialists. Our visiting specialists provide podiatric, gynecological, surgical, and hearing services. The Ruby Valley Medical Center also provides mobile emergency medical services through Ruby Valley Emergency Medical Services. The Ruby Valley Medical Center receives financial support from the Ruby Valley Healthcare Foundation and the Ruby Valley Medical Center Auxiliary.

The Ruby Valley is nestled into the Rocky Mountains and offers world-class trout fishing, hunting, hiking, cycling and cross country skiing. The idyllic location is surrounded by mountain ranges resulting in relatively temperate winter weather and providing an appealing climate for moose, elk, deer, antelope, sand hill cranes, egrets, swans, pelicans, eagles, falcons and an immense variety of smaller birds. The area is rich in history dating back to the 1860 gold rush with tales of vigilantes and homesteaders.

The towns offer the best aspects of small town, ranching communities. The residents are truly welcoming and helpful. There are a wide variety of community groups with objectives ranging from enhanced commerce and academic enrichment to environmental protection and social welfare. Adult education classes offer an assortment of subjects during the winter months. Summer is the busiest season with festivals, rodeo, farmer's markets, wine tasting benefits and visitors.
