About Forsman Farms, Inc.
Forsman Farms began in 1918 with Albert Forsman farming 120 acres and selling chicks from his flock. 41 years later, Albert’s son Norman took over the family farm and with 1,300 chickens decided to sell eggs to local vendors and restaurants. While Norman cared for the chickens, his wife Mae gathered and cleaned the eggs every day.
In 1974, their son Gary took over operations of the family farm. Over the next twenty-five years, Gary and his wife Debbie farmed the land, managed the flock of 60,000 chickens and raised three children.
Our fourth generation is now continuing the family farming tradition. While Gary and his wife Debbie oversee operations, their children, and Albert’s grandchildren, Peter and Dave, handle day-to-day duties.
We are proud of our connection to strong local history and the land as we continue to produce eggs with the same quality standards that began in 1918.
We believe our love for the outdoors and our passion for farming is what keeps us focused, fulfilled and successful from day to day. Sustaining our farm is not just a job, it’s a lifestyle that we embrace with an overwhelming sense of pride.
Our days always start with eggs…Mae’s Eggs to be exact. We gather, clean, inspect and process the eggs to make sure only the very best quality eggs are packed, shipped and enjoyed. Mae’s Eggs are what we’ve built our reputation on here at Forsman Farms, and continues to be the brand of choice for retailers of all sizes throughout the Midwest.
Although Mae’s Eggs are the trademark of Forsman Farms, we believe the true essence of farming is really about the circle of life. That’s why every year we take the time to also grow fresh corn and soybeans in our field. That’s how we provide the highest quality, nutrient-rich feed for our chickens…in a sustainable way.
Our Roots Are Firmly Planted.
