About ABCM Corporation
A leader in long term care for over 50 years, ABCM owns and operates 29 skilled nursing & long-term care centers, 22 independent & assisted livings, and numerous outpatient therapy clinics throughout Iowa, with specialized services varying by location.
The story of ABCM is a classic tale of American free enterprise, wherein four individuals with a goal, vision, and burning determination built a company fostering the ideal of quality care for the ill and elderly. In 1961, George M. Manoylovich became concerned about conditions of nursing homes and the housing for the aged in Iowa. He began an association with new partners D.K. Benge, MD, & James E. Coonley II, attorney, both of Hampton, Iowa. Richard A. Allbee, attorney and current CEO (also of Hampton), joined the others in 1971. ABCM is an acronym for the first letters of the last names of the founders.
A message from Richard Allbee, CEO: "The heart and strength of our organization is the sum of the contributions made by the over 3,000 people we employ; all working together to establish and perpetuate a common mission of caring for our residents, our team members, and our communities. We take pride in empowering our staff through strong leadership, sustained support, and prospective pathways to professional development.Their commitment to excellence is clearly demonstrated in our Family Satisfaction Survey results. We have built and maintain a corporate structure that allows us the ability to provide and receive support at all levels and to persevere against all odds."

Rehab-to-Home Care:
Individuals of all ages can take advantage of our rehab-to-home services as they recover from surgery, injury, and/or weakness due to illness. All ABCM homes offer rehab-to-home services as a cost-effective alternative to an extended hospital stay.
