What work does J. Ranck Electric do?
Our electrical work is more than just pipe and wire, we dig and build things that many electrical contractors wouldn't. Check out the photos to see some examples of our work and picture yourself a member of the JRE Team.
Lighting Upgrade in Detroit
JRE was one of three electrical contractors who upgraded the streetlighting in the City of Detroit, in partnership with the Public Lighting Authority.
Making Way for Hollywood in Detroit
When filming a movie in Downtown Detroit, the cinematographers needed a helicopter to fly over the street between the walls of Ford Field and Comerica Park for an action-packed scene. To make room, J. Ranck Electric was hired to remove the streetlighting while filming happened, then re-install the lights after the director said, "That's a wrap!"
Storm Response
When hurricanes, tropical storms, and natural disasters strike, J. Ranck Electric responds to get the electrical grid back up and running. Many times lineworkers travel from all over the country, even driving toward where the storm is predicted while residents drive the opposite direction to wait out the weather. Sometimes lineworkers even arrive before the storm and power outages, take shelter while the storm rages, then as the weather clears, they get to work restoring power to help the community recover.
